Chrysler Financial

Frequently Asked Questions

________________________________________________________________

Chrysler Financial recently announced that we will no longer offer leasing as an option for our customers. Rest assured this decision has no impact on customers in current Chrysler Financial lease agreements or lease agreements offered by other providers. We remain committed to providing our customers with a personalized, worry-free financing experience and look forward to offering the best possible vehicle purchase finance options for your future financing needs.

Following is a list of answers to frequently asked questions about the changes to our finance programs:

Q. Why is Chrysler Financial exiting the leasing market?
A. The industry-wide economic conditions that made leasing popular in the past have changed, to the point that we can no longer offer affordable lease payments for customers.

Q. When will the change take effect?
A. As of August 1, Chrysler Financial will discontinue offering new lease products in the United States and we are fully dedicating our resources to developing the best possible vehicle purchase finance options for our customers.

Q. I currently lease, will I be affected?
A. As a current lessee financed with Chrysler Financial you will not be affected by this decision and the terms of your lease agreement will remain in force. Chrysler Financial will continue to support and service current Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge lease and Plus contract customers throughout the term of the lease. Likewise, if you lease with another finance company, our exiting the leasing market has no impact on your current agreement.

Q. I’m nearing the end of my current lease, what should I do?
A. Visit chryslerfinancial.com for an overview of your lease-end options or talk to your dealer about financing your next Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle with us.

Q. Will I have to pay a lease turn-in fee if I can’t lease with Chrysler Financial again?
A. We want to keep you in the family. If you purchase a new Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle or if you decide to purchase your current lease vehicle, we will waive your turn- in fee.

Q. What is the difference between financing the purchase of a vehicle vs. a lease?
A. With a vehicle purchase, the vehicle title is in your name and your monthly payments count toward the purchase of the vehicle, so once it is paid off, it is yours. There are no mileage restrictions, and you are free to accessorize and customize the vehicle to your preferences. In addition, you have the opportunity to trade the vehicle at anytime vs. the fixed term of a lease.

Q. Will my monthly payments be more with a vehicle purchase than when I was leasing?
A. Chrysler LLC and Chrysler Financial are committed to providing competitive financing options in the market place. An example of our current financing deals available includes a zero percent APR purchase contract for 72 months on Chrysler Aspen, Dodge Durango and Ram, Jeep Commander and Grand Cherokee models. Our goal is to offer vehicle payments similar to those available with a lease product.

Q. Can I still get my loyalty incentive?
A. Yes. Returning lease customers who purchase an eligible new Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle can receive up to $750 owner loyalty incentive in addition to any Chrysler Financial Bonus Cash on select vehicles. This can be used in conjunction with our aggressive APR programs to lower your monthly payments even more.

Q. If I still want to lease a Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle, can I?
A. Your local Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge dealership can provide you with financing options to enable you to make the best financing decision for your particular needs. That may include a lease contract through lenders other than Chrysler Financial.

Q. Where is the industry going with leasing?
A. Due to the current economic environment, finance companies, banks, and other finance sources will be offering fewer lease products to consumers.

Q. What if I have a question that is not covered in this FAQ?
A. If you have a question about your current lease agreement with Chrysler Financial, you can contact our Customer Service department. For questions about financing your next vehicle purchase, visit your local Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge dealer.
